World War II Diary
John Norton was Linda Eastman’s father. He was a Ritchie Boy, part of a secret U.S. intelligence unit during World War II. They were made up of German- and Italian-speaking soldiers who were trained at Camp Ritchie in Maryland. The Ritchie Boys helped the Allies defeat Germany by performing a variety of duties, including interrogation, espionage, and propaganda. Alan Eastman painstakingly retouched and restored Norton’s photographs taken during his time in military service in Europe.
